For years I have been trying to marry Echos with multi-room systems such as Sonos and others but the integrations were always kludgy and missing key features. I love having multi-room music played through good quality speakers from a variety of sources but I also like the personal assistant, home control, and communications features of the Echo.

"My family loves the Amazon Echo and flatly refuses to learn how to use anything more complicated for playing music. These speakers have me at a point where I can't think of anything better for less than 6k." As an audio nerd a moment of pure satisfaction is rare.
We chopped up the cables, applied heat shrink and banana plugs, put a record on, and our minds were blown. Recently we added the HTD branded 2 channel amp ( DA-2125), with HTD's own bi-wire cable. My receiver (Marantz 8012) was bi-wired and a menu setting was switched from 'small' to 'large', and the bass was there, Tight, accurate, and extends down to at least 60hz. The midrange dome on the Level THREE speakers ensures that nothing is lost or recessed in the 2khz range. I thought nothing could top KEF for imaging and clarity, and out of the box the Level THREE Towers crushed that expectation. When I first got my Level THREE towers I put them right where I put the Q700's. So big win for HTD in terms of craftsmanship. Four posts in back for bi wiring, Q700s had that, the 750's they sell now don't.

They even come with gloves to wear during positioning if you are so inclined! I have veneered and restored some speakers as a hobby, the HTD Level THREE ebony veneer is nicer than anything I am capable of, way nicer than the KEF's veneer, light years better than Polk's faux wood, even nicer than Polk's nicer offerings from the 80's (Monitor Series 9). All speakers come in large cloth 'socks' that prevent microscratching. these are packaged very well outer box with a padded inner box. If this review is too verbose buy the Level THREE speakers, they are amazing.
I assumed the KEFs would remain on top as far as critical listening goes, and for a while they did, but I'm sure reading this review you know where I'm going. My wife and I are both kind of audio nerds so we were directly comparing it to a Polk Tsx series five channel setup, and our (then) pride and joy living room setup of KEF Q700 towers with center and Q300 rears. "About four years ago I purchased my first HTD speakers, a level THREE five channel setup, for a den. I am sure I will enjoy the new HTD system for the next 27 years." It's great to have someone direct to call or email for help. The support team, Sean, helped me out with a few issues with my orders and made sure that I got it all working. Shipment to Canada was also as breeze as HTD took care of all the custom charges and delivery was fast. Plenty of power with the 120watts DMA-1240 only a rock concert may need the 200watt DMA-1275. I ended up with 7 different audio sources including a few echo dots spread around the house. The keypads and app have multiple controls and features which stands HTD apart from the others. It's great to have so much flexibility of what's playing in each room. I use the keypads half of the time and the cell phone app the other half of the time. The weight of the amplifier and speakers also tells the story of high quality components and not cheap electronics. Packaging was double boxed and all products were securely packed. When I received the delivery I could tell that the HTD cared about their product inside and out.
I was able to use old wiring instead of running new Cat5/6 cable and I also upgraded a few speakers with the HDX in-wall series. "Purchased the Advanced Lync 6 system to replace my old Niles Audio system that was installed over 27 years ago "Best decision ever".
